Youth League 2012

Youth league is back for 2012!

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Youth league is an opportunity for youth of ALL SKILL levels to play ultimate. Whether you’re brand new or have a few years of playing experience, we’ve got a division for you. We are currently setting up our youth mentors, those youth who have been to nationals, to act as leaders for the newer players. Please stay tuned for more updates as they come available.

Dates: MONDAYS, April 30-June 25 (No games May 21)
Location: Calgary Rugby Union (9025 Shepard Road SE)
Age: 9-19
Cost: $100.00 (+GST)

Registration will be open on March 16.

**Note: All parents will be required to sign a waiver and photo release before playing, this will be provided prior to games starting on April 30.

CUJO’s Sights Are Set On Nationals 2011

CUJO is Calgary’s competitive juniors ultimate team and this will be the third year the team has represented Alberta at the Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC). The team practices regularly and will be attending a selection of other tournaments throughout the summer to prepare for CUC 2011, which is August 11 – 14 in Ottawa, ON.

CUJO is looking for players to join its 2011 squad. If you’re new to the game but want to try it out, come prepared to learn lots and work hard. We took a team to Sherbrooke, QC last summer for CUC 2010. Our squad went in seeded 13th and we played some close games to finish 9th in the Juniors Division. This year our goal is to be even better.

Calgary Youth Ultimate Tournament is Back!

We are into our third year of tournaments and we are hoping this will be the best year yet! Last year we expanded our Youth Ultimate Tournament to eight teams with four new clubs in the junior high division. We are hoping to grow the event again this year as we launch a new high school division.

Many schools are forming Ultimate Clubs — if you haven’t started one at your school yet, contact us for some tips on how to get it going!
